SBG Idaho Heads to Montana on Championship Quest!!!

SBG Idaho MMA athletes hit the road this Saturday, November 9, for Fusion Fight League: Rising Stars 2, at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, Montana. Four of SBG Idaho’s finest will take to the cage that night, with Noah Shultz, Riley Timmons, and Almir Talic contending for Fusion Fight League amateur championships, while Ben Hollier looks to continue his recent success in the night’s professional main event.

First up that evening will be the current flyweight (125 lb) champion Noah Shultz (4-2, 1-1 FFL) defending his title against Arizona’s Jared Braun (4-1-1, 0-0 FFL). Shultz captured the Fusion Fight League championship last December, when he picked up a first round armbar finish over Timmy Garcia. Shultz was last seen in action at FSF 19 in April, picking up a first round guillotine choke over Nacho Navarro.

Competing in her first title bout, female MMA prospect Riley Timmons (4-1 MMA, 1-0 FFL), will look to claim the vacant women’s featherweight (145 lb) championship over Barb Cuellar (4-1 MMA, 2-0 FFL). Timmons has been on a tear recently, with three stoppage victories over her last three fights. Most recently she picked up a hard-fought 3rd round TKO over Lauren Wolfe at FFL this past August.

In the final championship bout, undefeated Almir Talic (3-0 MMA, 0-0 FFL) looks to take the next step in his development when he takes on Ryder Small (4-1 MMA, 2-1 FFL) for the vacant lightweight (155 lb) championship. Talic has been hard at work expanding his skillset since his last victory – a first round TKO of Tanner Chapman at FSF 19 last April.

Finally, in the night’s main event, bantamweight (135 lb) Ben Hollier will look to notch his fourth victory in as many tries when he meets Great Falls native Tommy McMillen (0-0 MMA, 0-0 FFL) in a professional bantamweight showdown. Hollier looked very impressive in his last victory, a dominant unanimous decision over Doug Collins just last month at FSF 20, and aims to keep that momentum going against the debuting McMillen.
